Vietnam and the US have signed an agreement on the amendments to the Vietnam–US bilateral air transport agreement. Once implemented, the amended agreement will create a legal basis to offer opportunities for strengthening civil aviation cooperation between the two countries. The agreement will benefit Vietnam Airlines that plans to launch a direct route between Vietnam and the US.
