The Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam has provided a 3.3 trillion dong loan to EVN for the 500 kV Pleiku–My Phuoc–Cau Bong project. The 9.28 trillion dong project, which covers the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak  Nong, Binh Phuoc, and Ho Chi Minh City, will provide electricity to the southern areas of the country by 2014–15. It will also provide power grid connectivity across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia by 2015. The World Bank, Vietnam Development Bank, and ADB are also contributing to the funding of this project.
