Kereta Api Indonesia has signed a syndicated loan agreement with 12 banks to finance the construction of the light rail train (LRT) in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi. The loan agreement is worth Rp 19.25 trillion, comprising investment credit worth Rp18.1 trillion and working capital loan worth Rp 1.15 trillion. The lending contract has a grace period of 18 years. The syndicated loan has been extended by 12 banks which include state banks, private commercial banks, and foreign banks. The banks are Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Central Asia (BCA), Commerce International Merchant Bankers (CIMB) Niaga, Secura Monde International, Bank DKI, Hana Bank, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Shinhan Bank Indonesia, Bank Sumut and Bank Mega.
