The Indonesian government inaugurated the rail service connecting Jakarta with the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the last week of December 2017. The 34 km railway line has been built at a cost of $369 million. It is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2018 and will have a total of five stops. The project is owned by Railink, a joint venture between state-owned railway operator Kereta Api Indonesia and airport operator Angkasa Pura II.
