The Land Transport Authority has awarded Japanese construction firm Penta-Ocean Construction Company Limited a contract worth SGD 932.8 million for the Johor Bahru-Singapore rapid transit system (RTS) link. The contract involves building the RTS link’s Woodlands north station, tunnels and the customs, immigration, and quarantine building in Singapore. Construction on the RTS link is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2021 and passenger services in end 2026.
