The Government of Japan has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Cambodia in infrastructure connectivity and maritime security during a farewell meeting between Japanese Ambassador Ueno Atsushi and Suos Yara, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Information. The discussions highlighted the two countries’ longstanding partnership and Japan’s continued support for Cambodia’s peacebuilding, rehabilitation and socio-economic development.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Cambodia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on enhancing legislative cooperation, expanding people-to-people exchanges and deepening collaboration in strategic sectors, including infrastructure and maritime affairs.
