The Government of the Philippines has announced plans to award five public-private partnership (PPP) projects valued at PHP50.57 billion by the end of 2024, and an additional three projects by 2025 under a new law and its implementing rules and regulations (IRR).

Key projects which are under the pipeline include PHP23.4 billion Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway Extension Project, PHP12.75 billion upgrade, expansion, operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Laguindingan Airport Project in Northern Mindanao and PHP4.53 billion New Bohol International Airport.

Meanwhile, the key projects targeted for awarding by the end of 2024 or 2025 are PHP1.2 billion Negros Occidental bulk water supply project, PHP710 million Bislig City bulk water supply project and PHP80 million Bislig City septage project in Surigao del Sur. These projects are part of a broader pipeline of 125 projects worth PHP3 trillion currently managed by the PPP Center.
