UEM Sunrise Bhd, and ITRAMAS Corporation Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) to develop a renewable energy (RE) industrial park in Johor, Malaysia. The park will span 40 acres in Gerbang Nusajaya, Iskandar Puteri.
The facility is a part of Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). The RE Industrial Park is designed to attract China-based manufacturers and suppliers in the RE and electric vehicle (EV) sectors. It will feature a RE Hub that includes a solar module factory and advanced research facilities.
