Cimic has secured a USD107 million contract to rebuild Choa Chu Kang Waterworks in Singapore. The facility supplies 80 million gallons of water per day to the western part of Singapore. The project involves expanding the plant and upgrading its water treatment technology.
Leighton Asia will handle the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation works, along with building services, civil and temporary works, and the testing and commissioning of the updated plant.
The reconstruction work is set to begin in Q2 2024 and is expected to be completed by 2028.
