A consortium led by SMTrack Bhd has signed a head of agreement (HOA) with 5G Infra Tech Solution Sdn Bhd to conduct a series of corporate exercises in order to raise funds and finance 5G and fibre optics-related projects for Digital National Bhd (DNB) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
Other firms that are a part of the consortium include Jiankun International Bhd, Techna-X Bhd, Sersol Bhd, MQ Technology Bhd and Country Heights Holdings Bhd. The consortium will initially focus on acquiring funding for the installation and deployment of 5G telecommunication towers in Malaysia.
This includes the installation and maintenance of up to 350 telecommunication towers by Ennova in Kuala Lumpur, with the capacity to expand to 10,000 towers in the future. All of 5G Infra Tech’s 5G construction and operating costs will also be covered by the consortium.
