Work on major traffic management projects in Ho Chi Minh City is expected to begin soon. The projects involve the development of two tunnels and a roundabout at the Nguyen Van Linh-Nguyen Huu Tho Intersection in the city’s District 7 to ease traffic congestion. The VND 830 billion project will receive funding from the city’s budget. The two tunnels will run beneath the intersection of the Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Huu Tho streets. Each of them will stretch 480 metres, with three lanes allowing vehicles to travel at a speed of 60 kmph. Further, the provision for water drainage, firefighting and prevention systems, and lighting systems will be made inside the tunnels. The roundabout will be built at the intersection with a diameter of 60 metres.
