The Government of Cambodia is looking for a developer for works on the planned airport in Mondulkiri province. A previous agreement with PowerChina International Group Limited (PIG) was withdrawn in 2022. The airport project is expected to cost USD80 million.
The airport will be built on a 300-hectare site in O’Raing district.
In December 2021, PIG was selected to conduct feasibility studies for the airport. However, the company withdrew its investments due to financial issues.
