Gentari Sdn Bhd and City Energy have signed a joint feasibility study agreement for the construction of a hydrogen pipeline stretching from Malaysia to Singapore. The feasibility study will span 12 months, during which both companies will evaluate the project’s technical, financial, and environmental viability. On completion, a decision will be made about the execution of a front-end engineering design (FEED) agreement.
Once operational, the pipeline will be used to supply hydrogen to City Energy’s Senoko Gasworks plant.
The initiative aligns with the Government of Singapore’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions (NZE) by 2050.
