Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has commissioned the construction of 11 offshore support vessels (OSVs) in Malaysia as a part of the first phase of its Safina Project. Works on the vessels will be executed in multiple stages, starting in 2023, with competition scheduled for Q1 2024.
Under Phase 1 of the Safina Project, Petronas aims to build up to 100 vessels by 2027 to 2028. The new OSVs will replace the old vessels which are reaching the age limit of 15 years.
