TC Sunenergy Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Tan Chong Group, has commenced operations on its 20 MW floating large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) plant in Serendah, Malaysia. The project was developed under the LSSPV Bidding Cycle 4 by the Energy Commission of Malaysia in 2020.
The facility is expected to generate over 1 million MWh of renewable energy (RE) for Tenaga National Bhd (TNB) under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Additionally, the plant is expected to reduce 610,221 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
