The Government of the Philippines has announced plans for three solar power plants, with a combined capacity of 684 MW, to commence operations in 2024. The projects include the 60 MW Santo Domingo Solar Power Project in San Manuel town by ACEN Group, the 94 MW Cayanga-Bugallon Solar Power Project in Bugallon town by Aboitiz Group and the 530 MW Bugallon Solar Project by 3 Barracuda Energy Corporation.
ACEN’s solar project is expected to generate 94 GWh of renewable energy (RE) annually meanwhile, Aboitiz’s solar project is expected to produce 147 million kWh of RE annually.
