Eymard Eje has been appointed the new officer-in-charge of Manila’s Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade. This will be in addition to his existing responsibilities as assistant secretary for project implementation for the Mindanao Cluster. He will succeed former general manager Rodolfo Garcia who passed away in February 2021.
Eje began his public service career in Paranaque City as a legislative staff assistant in 1994. In 2009, he became the chief of staff of former Court of Appeals Justice Agnes Reyes-Carpio, before moving on to the Office of the President-Presidential Management Staff as a presidential staff officer.
