The Transport Ministry of Thailand is preparing to offer invitations to tender for the commercial development of Bang Sue Grand Central Station in June or July 2021. The station’s commercial development will use the public-private partnership (PPP) investment model. The station is expected to commence operations in November 2022.
The contract to operate commercial operations at Bang Sue Grand Central Station, which spans 52,375 square metres, will be a single contract for a duration of 15-20 years. Safety, traffic, maintenance, and station operations will all be sourced in accordance with the Government Procurement and Inventory Management Act.
Bang Sue Grand Central Station is a key transport hub in Bangkok and integrates multiple services, including traditional rail, high speed rail, long haul rail, commuter rail, as well as the airport rail connection.
