EdgePoint Towers Incorporation (EdgePoint Philippines) has announced significant progress in expanding its telecommunications infrastructure, particularly in Luzon and the Visayas. In the first quarter of 2025, the company completed over 300 co-locations, built 100 new built-to-suit (BTS) towers, and deployed its first two BTS sites in the Visayas.
EdgePoint entered the Philippine market in 2022 by acquiring 2,934 towers from the PLDT Group, in line with the national Common Tower Policy. This initiative promotes infrastructure sharing to reduce telecom costs and enhance service availability. EdgePoint’s ongoing rollout supports efforts to bridge the digital divide across the archipelago and bolster connectivity in underserved areas.
