The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) are inviting bids to rehabilitate and maintain the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in the Philippines.The project will be executed under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. 

To qualify, bidders should have a net worth of at least PHP25 billion and have experience in operating an international airport transporting more than 25 million passengers annually. Both domestic and international companies as well as individuals and consortiums can apply. 

Interested parties have until December 27, 2023 to submit their bids. The contract will include a 15-year concession and an option for a 10-year extension. 

Under PHP170.6 billion rehabilitation project, all facilities of NAIA will be upgraded, including runways, four terminals, and associated facilities, to increase annual capacity from 35 million to more than 62 million passengers.
