The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has cleared all the seven pre-qualified bidders and their respective foreign partners to submit bids for the PhP 17.5 billion Mactan-Cebu International Airport expansion project. The pre-qualified bidders are the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation–JG Summit Holdings (MPIC-JGS) consortium; San Miguel Corporation–Incheon consortium; AAA Airport Partners led by the Ayala Group and Aboitiz Land; the Filinvest–CAI Airport consortium; the Lopez Group’s First Philippine Airports; the GMR Infrastructure–Megawide consortium; and the Premier Airport Group of the SM Group of retail magnate Henry Sy. All seven pre-qualified bidders are now expected to submit technical and financial bids.
