DOTC and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) are likely to invite bids for PHP 434.5 million worth of contracts to enhance night landing operations at eight airports in the country. These contracts cover the installation/upgradation of airfield lighting systems, as well as the improvement of communication and meteorological systems, at the airports in Butuan, Cotabato, Dumaguete, Tuguegarao, Dipolog, Roxas, Ozamis, and Busuanga. The government has earmarked PHP 159.6 million to upgrade the tower equipment at these airports.
