The Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded microgrid development contracts to Maharlika Consortium in Cebu, Quezon, and Palawan provinces in the Philippines. The consortium comprises Maharlika Clean Power Holdings Corporation, Singapore-based CleanGrid Partners Private Limited, and WEnergy Global Private Limited.
Maharlika will deliver electricity services to the designated areas using a hybrid microgrid infrastructure comprising solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, energy storage systems, and diesel generators within 18 months of executing the Microgrid Systems Service Contract with the National Power Corporation (NPC).
