DOTC has awarded a PhP 2.27 billion contract to build the 3.9 km elevated section of the 4.2 km eastern extension of LRT-2 to Philippines-based D.M. Consunji, Inc. The extension will link the existing terminus at Santolan in Pasig City with Masinag in the municipality of Cainta. Civil works on the viaduct section are due to be completed within 18 months from the date of signing the contract.
