DOTC is set to rebid the consultancy contract worth PhP 834.5 million for the light rail tansit (LRT)-2 Cavite extension project, following the failure during the pre-qualifying stage in December 2014. The consultant will review the structural defect report, detailed design, and incremental costs; issue a design acceptance certificate; monitor the progress of works; and test the light rail vehicles being procured. DOTC has announced that the shortlist will consist of a maximum of five bidders and will be based on applicable experience (30 per cent weightage), qualification of personnel (50 per cent) and current workload relative to capacity (20 per cent).
