Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding is likely to begin construction work on the 410 MW Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy HPP by end-2013. The 32 billion baht project is being implemented by Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy Power Company – a JV of Ratch, SK Engineering and Construction, Korea Western Power, and Lao Holding State Enterprise. The project is scheduled to be commissioned by 2018. Of the total output, 370 MW will be supplied to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under a 27-year concession agreement.
