The Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) has indefinitely postponed the awarding of the contract for the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Orange Line western section due to an unresolved dispute on the bidding criteria. The tender was launched in July 2020.
The Orange Line will span 39.6 km (9 km elevated, 30.6 km underground) and cover 30 stations. The 22.57-km eastern section is currently under construction.
