ArcelorMittal has secured a contract from the Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) to supply tracks for the Tao Pun–Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) section of the Southern Extension of the Purple Line of Bangkok Metro.
The extension will span 23.6 km and cover 17 stations (10 underground, seven elevated). The extension is expected to be operational by 2027.
