Construction commences for 50 MW biomass plants in Vietnam

Japan-based eRex has commenced construction works for two 50 MW biomass power plants in Vietnam. The plants are expected to be operational by 2027. 

This initiative is part of eRex’s plan to establish 18 biomass power plants in the country by 2030 to meet the rising electricity demand. The new plants are being built in the northern provinces of Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang and will use wood and other materials as fuel. Each facility represents an investment of approximately USD100 to USD120 million.
