The Government of Astana has signed a framework agreement with Changi Airports International (CAI) to support the long-term development of Thailand’s airport infrastructure, including the construction of a new airport and further development of Astana International Airport. The agreement was signed by the Astana administration, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport and CAI, a subsidiary of Changi Airport Group.
The partnership also covers potential CAI participation in the management, operations and maintenance (O&M) of Astana International Airport. The parties are working to determine the partnership structure, implementation terms and required documentation. CAI operates internationally across more than 90 airports in over 35 countries.
