The Governments of Belarus and Cambodia are expanding cooperation in civil aviation, road transport and road construction. Discussions between the Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich and Cambodia’s Minister of Public Works and Transport Peng Ponea covered potential collaboration in these areas.
Cambodia highlighted highway and bridge construction as key areas of interest, including an expressway from Phnom Penh to the Vietnam border and another priority route connecting Phnom Penh with Thailand. Belarus offered expertise in road design and maintenance, including cement-concrete pavement technology, technology transfer and joint road-network maintenance.
