PLDT, Globe Telecom and Converge ICT have allocated more than USD2.2 billion in capital expenditure for 2026, reflecting continued investment in the Philippines’ digital infrastructure. PLDT has committed approximately PHP55 billion, Globe Telecom has guided below PHP59.4 billion, while Converge ICT plans to spend PHP17–20 billion. Including DITO Telecommunity’s expected investment, total industry capex could reach USD2.4–2.45 billion.
The investments support the rollout of the Konektadong Pinoy Act and expansion of the National Fiber Backbone. The three operators are also proposing a USD500 million nationwide submarine cable system, while Globe Telecom has backed a unified policy for shared underground conduits to streamline fibre deployment along national roads and public rights of way.
