Singapore-based industrial AI company Groundup.ai has secured a SGD3.99 million contract from PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, to deploy and maintain a predictive maintenance system across critical water infrastructure assets.

Groundup.ai was selected as the sole provider through an open tender that attracted 15 respondents. The contract covers the deployment of a cognitive maintenance platform for PUB’s rotating equipment.

The platform uses machine learning to analyse sound, vibration and thermal data from equipment to detect potential faults before they lead to failures. Its Asset Library and GINA AI engine are designed to identify hidden faults, determine potential root causes and recommend corrective actions to maintenance teams.

The system is intended to reduce unplanned equipment downtime and support the operational life of ageing infrastructure. Unlike conventional monitoring systems that primarily flag abnormal readings, the cognitive maintenance platform interprets equipment-health data and provides guidance on required maintenance actions.

The PUB contract strengthens Groundup.ai’s presence in the critical infrastructure sector and provides a major deployment of its predictive maintenance technology within Singapore’s water utility network.
