Nguyen Quang Thuy has been appointed as chief executive officer and legal representative at Newtecons in Vietnam. He succeeds Vo Thanh Liem, who had served as CEO since June 2022.
Born in 1973, Thuy previously held the role of executive director and is described as one of the company’s early members. He contributed to building management systems across construction sites and played a key role in training generations of project managers, supervisors, and engineers. Liem, born in 1977, spent nearly two decades at Coteccons before joining Newtecons, where he had served as acting chief executive.
Founded in 2003, Newtecons has a charter capital of more than VND1.5 trillion and employs over 5,360 staff. The company is chaired by Nguyen Ba Duong, who previously led Coteccons and later developed a separate construction ecosystem, including Ricons and SOL E&C. Newtecons is part of the Vietur consortium awarded Package 5.10 for construction and installation works at Long Thanh International Airport’s passenger terminal in Dong Nai province. In 2025, the contractor reported revenue of VND13.17 trillion, exceeding its annual target, with a signed contract backlog of approximately VND18.5 trillion as it positions for expansion amid Vietnam’s public infrastructure push.
