Lisza Buscaino-Redulla has been appointed as the new president at United Transportation Coalition Philippines Inc. (UTCPI). Her appointment signals the coalition’s intent to strengthen sector-wide coordination and representation as reforms reshape the industry.
Buscaino-Redulla assumes leadership of a broad coalition representing traditional jeepneys and buses, transport network vehicle services (TNVS), and emerging mobility cooperatives. In her first address, she committed to advancing a cohesive and representative voice for transport workers in national policy discussions, emphasising unity and collaboration across stakeholder groups.
Her appointment comes as the Department of Transportation advances sustainable modernisation initiatives under Secretary Giovanni Lopez. UTCPI described the secretary as a capable partner in driving reforms. The reconstituted board includes Issei John Manila Goto, Bryant Rhey Manabat, and Bon Andaya, with lawyer John Paul Nabua serving as corporate secretary. Under the new leadership, UTCPI aims to bridge traditional and modern operators while expanding partnerships with government and civil society to ensure modernisation efforts safeguard driver welfare and sector stability.
