Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) and Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) have launched an integrated ticketing system in Malaysia. Passengers can now book tickets for both operators using KTMB’s Kits application or ERL’s website.
KTMB operates intercity and commuter rail services on a network spanning 2,783 km in Peninsular Malaysia. In 2023, the inter-city rail services had an average daily ridership of over 10,000 passengers, and the commuter rail services had an average daily ridership of around 83,300 passengers.
ERL operates the 57-km-long airport rail line connecting Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station. In 2023, it had a ridership of 6.58 million passengers.
