The Government of the Philippines has launched its first self-driving bus service in Clark, supported by a transportation cloud system called Smart Mobility Operation Cloud (SMOC). The service will serve New Clark City, the Clark Freeport Zone, and Clark International Airport.

This initiative is part of a smart public transportation demonstration, led by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan and implemented by Zenmov, with no cost to the Government of the Philippines. The program aims to improve mobility, reduce traffic, and promote sustainability in the region. The service will also introduce electric vehicles, smart poles, and real-time traffic management technologies.

BCDA aims to integrate advanced Japan-based technology to create a more efficient, low-carbon public transport system while also promoting green spaces and renewable energy in the area. The project will run until June 2025.
