IJM Corporation Bhd has secured an RM1.1 billion contract from Malaysia Rapid Transit System Sdn Bhd (MRTS) for works under Package 2A and 2B of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link. Works will include the design and construction of an immigration, customs, and quarantine complex (ICQC) as well as external works.
As of September 2023, works on the RTS Link between Singapore and Malaysia have been 52 per cent completed. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2026. Once operational, the 4-km-long link is expected to transport around 10,000 passengers per hour between the two countries.
