GE Renewable Energy has been awarded a supply contract for a wind project by BIM Wind JSC, a joint venture (JV) between Philippines-based AC Energy and Vietnam-based BIM Energy Holding. Under the contract, GE will deliver, install and commission GE Cypress onshore wind turbines for the 88 MW wind farm located in Ninh Thuận Province. All the deployed turbines will have the two-piece blade design. A 15-year full-service agreement is also included in the contract. The project will start operations by the end of the third quarter of 2021.
The GE Cypress onshore wind platform will result in performance improvements in Annual Energy Production (AEP) and greater serviceability.
