The first turbine of the Krong No 3 hydropower plant officially commenced generating electricity for the national grid on February 21, 2016. The Trung Nam Construction Investment Corporation has put into operation the first turbine located in the Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak and Lam Dong. The project includes two hydropower plants: Krong No 2 and Krong No 3. The Krong No hydropower plant is designed to have a combined capacity of 48 MW, with a total investment of 1,850 billion dong.
