Nineteen foreign companies have reportedly submitted expressions of interest to form a JV with the Myanmar Petroleum Enterprise to develop a new LPG terminal in Thanlyin near Yangon, Myanmar. The winner will be responsible for importing and distributing the fuel. Five Japanese companies submitted proposals, along with four from Thailand, three each from South Korea and Singapore, and one each from India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Some of the bidders are Thai state-owned PTT Plc, Korea’s Daewoo Engineering and Construction, Singapore-based Puma Energy Group and Japan’s Marubeni Corporation.
