YTL PowerSeraya has begun construction on a 600 MW hydrogen-ready Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant at Pulau Seraya Power Station, with an estimated investment of SDG800 million in Singapore.
The project aims for completion by December 2027 and will utilise advanced GE Vernova gas turbines, designed to be 50 per cent hydrogen-capable, supporting Singapore’s transition to a sustainable energy future. The initiative aligns with Singapore’s National Hydrogen Strategy, aiming to diversify its energy mix and contribute to net-zero goals by 2050.
