The Provincial Government of Long An has completed the site clearance for the USD3.13 billion Long An 1 and Long An 2 LNG-to-power project in Vietnam, which will have a combined capacity of 3,000 MW.
GS Energy is set to begin work on the project after finalizing administrative procedures. The province aims for commercial operations to start for Long An 1 in June 2029 and for Long An 2 in June 2031. Long An authorities have prioritized this project despite facing challenges.
