Finland-based Wärtsilä has announced plans to aid Vietnam’s green energy transition with its internal combustion engine technology, which will help balance renewable energy (RE) sources like solar and wind.

The partnership aims to facilitate a shift from LNG-fired power to green hydrogen and could create 400 jobs. Discussions also touched on support from Finland under the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETR), although Vietnam has yet to receive any loans from this international initiative.
