Singapore-based OceanPixel Private Limited (OP) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Portugal-based WavEC to collaborate on developing marine renewable energy (RE) technology and projects in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. The MoU is designed to enable the firms to take advantage of opportunities in the maritime renewable energy sector in the region.
OP and WavEC will collaborate on site selection and characterisation for maritime RE, project mapping, technology evaluation, power cable layout planning, assessing the cost of energy, offshore logistics, mooring design and environmental monitoring and evaluation.
