VA Tech Wabag Limited (WABAG) has secured an order from Dialog E&C Sdn Bhd for the development of a new Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) for Pengerang Integrated Complex in Johor, Malaysia. The order is worth USD11.45 million. The facility will be constructed for PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd (PRPC UF), a subsidiary of Petronas Refinery & Petrochemical Corporation (PRPC).
WABAG will be the main technology vendor and offer design, engineering, procurement, and monitoring services for the proposed ETP. The company will develop an ETP for sludge treatment that includes two stages of biological treatment, an advanced oxidation process, an ammonia stripper, and a dryer facility.
WABAG had previously completed a USD200 million Integrated ETP for the Pengerang Integrated Complex, ensuring that pollutants are reduced below regulatory discharge limitations.
