Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Dong Nai local government to develop digital and smart city infrastructure across the province during the 2026–2030 period. The partnership will focus on supporting digital transformation initiatives and establishing the infrastructure needed to build a smart city ecosystem.
Under the agreement, VNPT and Dong Nai will jointly develop long-term digital transformation strategies, smart city master plans, and digital infrastructure platforms. The cooperation will also cover the development of digital government, digital economy and digital society initiatives, as well as the deployment of advanced technologies to support public administration, urban management and socio-economic development.
The project builds on VNPT’s existing presence in Dong Nai, where the company has previously invested in telecommunications infrastructure, data platforms and data centre development to support digital transformation. VNPT has also committed to expanding digital infrastructure, innovation programmes and smart city platforms tailored to Dong Nai’s development needs.
Dong Nai is one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing industrial and urban regions and is positioning itself as a major centre for industry, services and innovation. The smart city partnership is expected to strengthen digital governance, improve public services, and support sustainable urban development while enhancing the province’s attractiveness for investment and economic growth.
