VITRO REIT Inc., PLDT Global and Singapore-based wholesale carrier SG.GS Pte. Ltd. are expanding network interconnection capabilities in the Philippines through a new colocation arrangement aimed at strengthening the country’s position as a regional digital gateway.

Under the agreement, SG.GS will deploy network infrastructure within VITRO’s carrier-neutral data centres, providing access to carriers, cloud providers, internet service providers and enterprises operating in the Philippines.

The collaboration is expected to increase interconnection options for local organisations while improving connectivity between domestic and international networks. It will also provide additional pathways for cloud, content and enterprise workloads, supporting lower latency and greater network redundancy.

SG.GS operates more than 200 points of presence across over 30 markets and connects through more than 30 subsea cable systems. Its deployment within VITRO’s facilities will extend its network reach into the Philippine market and strengthen connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership is also intended to support the Philippines as an aggregation and distribution hub for regional and international internet traffic, creating additional transit options across Asia-Pacific.

VITRO, together with ePLDT Inc., operates hyperscale-grade data centre infrastructure serving enterprises, cloud providers and network operators. The companies expect the expanded interconnection ecosystem to attract more international carriers and digital platforms to the Philippine market.
