Vingroup and the UAE-based NMDC Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on offshore wind power projects in Vietnam. The MoU also includes plans for land reclamation and coastal sustainability projects to support high-end real estate and industrial land expansion. Further, NMDC, known for its expertise in marine development, will employ advanced engineering solutions to ensure environmental sustainability and resilience in these projects.
This partnership aligns with Vietnam’s ambitious national energy plan, which targets 6 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030. However, Vietnam has no operational offshore wind projects, with development focused only on intertidal wind farms near the coast.
