VinFast has announced the extension of its free electric vehicle (EV) charging programme across India, Indonesia, and Philippines until March 31, 2029, as part of its strategy to accelerate EV adoption in emerging markets.
The initiative allows VinFast customers to access complimentary charging, significantly reducing the cost of EV ownership and addressing one of the key barriers to adoption—charging expenses. The programme is designed to make electric mobility more attractive while supporting the transition away from internal combustion engine vehicles.
The extension forms part of VinFast’s broader ecosystem approach, which includes expanding charging infrastructure, forming strategic partnerships, and building integrated EV networks in key Asian markets. The company has been actively investing in charging networks through its subsidiary V-GREEN and collaborations with energy and fuel retail partners to ensure widespread access to charging facilities.
